YOU KNOW I'VE SEEN IT BEFOREthe mist that covers your eyesYOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING that's not in your life She blushed harder the closer they got, the longer he kept their lips together. Not that she wanted tp pull away, the intensity of the moment was scaring her though. Nothing could possibly be the same after this.
Her own thoughts were racing, but not so loud that she couldn't hear his. About being 'king' in the school in some way. He liked attention she knew that but....
Melete was the only thing he truly cared for here at school.
Mel normally would have dismissed that as a loyal friend, but now... It was hard to imagine there wasn't a romance angle to it. She wasn't sure what to do, what was safe and as she started to break away he was pulling her back in.

------------- Edward could tell that she was getting a bit nervous. He knew it was already getting weird and he should have pulled away a long time ago. He finally opened his eyes slowly and pulled his lips from hers. He still had his arms wrapped around her. He breathed in slowly and then let go of her body. He sat her back up and he sat up as well.
Now, he didn't want to make things awkward. He just had a great kiss with the one girl who truly mattered and he didn't want to mess that up. But he honestly couldn't say anything. His mind was drawing a blank. He looked over at Mel and just smiled at her softly. He wanted to say something.

YOU KNOW I'VE SEEN IT BEFOREthe mist that covers your eyesYOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING that's not in your life Mel almost felt cold when he let go of her. This was going to be much harder than she thought.... What would happen now? Did they pretend nothing had happened? Or did they try and go out together? He was a crowd person, she wasn't... would it even work? Did they owe it to themselves to try?
She read her thoughts and had to reply in his mind, she couldn't do it verbally. "It really was a great kiss...." Mel looked up form her lap and into his eyes. Ed was the only one who'd stood by her, who understood her and cared about her. One of the best friends she had, one of the only real friends she had.

------------- He smiled as he heard the thought in his head. It rang inside his mind as he looked forward and wondered if this was it. Were they breaking the wall and finally coming out with it? Edward thought he loved Mel, hell, he thought she was perfect for him. It always seemed like she just wanted to be friends though. After that kiss though, he didn't know what to expect.
He crossed his arms again and felt the warmth of Melete's side hit his. He smiled at the ground and finally looked back at Mel, god she was beautiful.

YOU KNOW I'VE SEEN IT BEFOREthe mist that covers your eyesYOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING that's not in your life "You know I can hear everything you're thinking right?" She asked in his head, leaning a little closer to him with a tiny smile, her eyes wide as if his face would give her even more clues. He thought he loved her. He thought she was beautiful. He cared about her.
No one cared about her.
Except maybe him....
"I am perfect for you." She continued, her smile growing a little. "I'm good for your ego." Mel bit her lip and leaned close to his ear. She finished speaking outloud. "I might love you too."

------------- Edward shivered when she whispered in his ear. He always liked it when someone whispered in his ear, he always found it kinda, hot. He let out a soft sigh as she told him she was perfect for him. That she was good for his ego. He just smiled at those. It really hit him though when she said she may love him too.
He couldn't believe it. Did she actually just say she might love him? He breathed in slowly and looked back at the ground. He didn't want to think anything stupid, so he tried to keep his mind blank. He truly had one thing in mind, the only thing he could do to react to the whole thing. He sat up, looked Mel in the eyes and kissed her softly on the lips. He didn't force anything. But he knew this was the beginning.

YOU KNOW I'VE SEEN IT BEFOREthe mist that covers your eyesYOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING that's not in your life Was she really making him shiver again?Mel's chest felt tight--she was holding her breath, waiting for something, anything, a reaction of some kind. she'd never seen him so at a loss with words before. he always knew what to say, always quick with a comeback.
And then he was kissing her again, very lightly. This time though, she wasn't so afraid. Mel cupped his cheek in one hand and put her other arm around him, keeping him closer to her. Granted she had to sort of lean on him to kiss him, but she doubted he minded. She kissed him just a little harder, her heartbeat hammering in her ears.

------------- Edward felt like right at this moment, his life was getting better. He felt as though he could do anything. He could do anything with her, by his side. He breathed in slowly as he kissed her more and felt her apply more pressure. He didn't mind it. He welcomed it.
He moved closer to her and smiled as he did it. Keeping his lips in sync with hers was the only thing he was truly focusing on. He kissed her harder and bit her lip softly. He wondered if she would like that.

YOU KNOW I'VE SEEN IT BEFOREthe mist that covers your eyesYOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING that's not in your life Mel felt him push a little harder, nipping her lip with his teeth and she just kissed back, running a tentative tongue over his bottom lip. There was really only one way to make this deeper. But she wasn't sure how much he was expecting, what he wanted. She hardly knew a thing.
The angle she was at was uncomfortable though, but moving into his lap--something she could have done normally to annoy him--seemed like a frightening prospect, but she couldn't pull away yet, she didn't want to, but her back was starting to ache.
